The client approached SimTech to help them develop strategies to increase their share of East Asian e-commerce orders handled for local consumers.
SimTech worked with the client to map the customer journeys and experience from purchase to delivery. SimTech also worked with customers to develop an engagement model to advance the client’s relationship with customers beyond just being the “courier” that “chases them to pay the import duties, VAT, clearance fees“.
The strategy that SimTech developed with the client entailed increasing the number of touchpoints that the client had with customers throughout the purchase-fulfilment journey. This was done through the client’s order tracking app, social media, integration with the e-commerce websites and marketplaces, and using real-time analytics to offer just-in-time incentives to select the client’s shipping option at checkout and request sellers to use the client for order fulfilment.
